OBC (Olefin Block Copolymer) is produced by chain-shuttling technology (Dow INFUSE™) and features alternating hard and soft blocks in a single polymer chain.
Description
OBC combines a high-crystallinity hard block (high melting point) and a low-crystallinity soft block (low glass-transition temperature) in one molecule. This unique structure provides excellent elasticity, high heat resistance and efficient compression set compared to conventional POE.
Applications
OBC is used in footwear (especially sport soles), automotive sealing, consumer goods, cables and industrial components.
