PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate, Acrylic) is an amorphous thermoplastic with outstanding optical clarity (light transmission 92%), excellent UV stability and good weathering resistance.
Description
PMMA offers the highest light transmission of any thermoplastic (92%), excellent UV resistance, good surface hardness and weatherability. Processing by injection moulding, extrusion and casting. Available in standard, impact-modified and heat-resistant grades.
Applications
PMMA is used in automotive tail lights, LED light guides, optical lenses, glazing, display panels and signage.
