PSU (Polysulfone) is an amorphous high-performance thermoplastic with excellent hydrolytic stability, broad chemical resistance and a service temperature up to 160°C.
Description
PSU (Polysulfone) was the first commercial polysulfone resin. Tg ~185°C, excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and aqueous solutions. Inherently flame-retardant (UL94 V-0 without additives). Transparent amber colour. Easy to process by injection moulding and extrusion.
Applications
PSU is used in water filtration membranes, food service equipment, medical devices, electrical connectors and chemical process equipment.

BASF — Ultrason® S PSU
Ultrason® S — BASF polysulfone range (Germany) with three base viscosity grades and two glass-filled modifications (G4 = 20% GF, G6 = 30% GF) for improved stiffness and heat resistance.

Holand® PSU
Holand series® PSU with Tg around 190 °C includes standard grades of various viscosities, powder form for membrane applications and glass-filled grade GL20 with key flammability class V0.
